Covid 19 | Less than a thousand Kovid patients daily; In Kerala today, Kovid confirmed 809 cases

Thiruvananthapuram: In Kerala, Kovid-19 has been confirmed for 809 persons in Ernakulam 141, Thiruvananthapuram 111, Kollam 84, Kottayam 83, Idukki 69, Kozhikode 56, Thrissur 55, Pathanamthitta 43, Kannur 37, Palakkad 33, Alappuzha 32, Malappuram 29, Wayanad 28 and Kasaragod 8. This is how the disease was confirmed in the districts.

During the last 24 hours, 18,467 samples were tested.

There are currently 24,808 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 23,960 are under home / institutional quarantine and 848 in hospitals. A total of 101 people were newly admitted to the hospital.

Currently, out of 7980 Kovid cases, only 10.4 per cent are admitted to hospitals / field hospitals.

No deaths have been confirmed in the last 24 hours due to Kovid-19. Meanwhile, seven deaths were reported in the previous days due to late receipt of documents and 71 deaths due to appeal by the Central Government under the new guidelines of the Supreme Court. This brings the total death toll in the state to 66,886.

Today, none of the confirmed cases are from outside the state. 769 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 32 is not clear. Eight health workers were affected by the disease.

1597 people who were diagnosed and treated were cured. Thiruvananthapuram 257, Kollam 95, Pathanamthitta 68, Alappuzha 42, Kottayam 209, Idukki 207, Ernakulam 313, Thrissur 141, Palakkad 34, Malappuram 44, Kozhikode 17, Wayanad 63, Kannur 82 and Kasaragod 25 were cured. With this, 7980 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 64,46,221 have so far been freed from Kovid.

Kovid 19 Analysis Report

One dose of vaccine (2,69,20,638) was given to 100% of the population to be vaccinated and two dose vaccine (2,32,08,765) to 87%.
ശതമാനം 78% (12,00,313) of children aged 15 to 17 years were given the first dose and 43% (6,64,848) were given the second dose.

During the period from March 7 to 13, out of an average of 11,048 cases being treated, only 2.2 per cent required oxygen beds and only 1.9 per cent needed ICUs.
