The CPI has been opposing mining in Thotapalli since earlier. Stopping mining solves half the problem. Salam is wrong to say that mining is a cabinet decision. Each party will have a different position. It is enough to think if Salam, who went to block, has superiority. Angelos said that the double standard will continue to be exposed.

Black sand mining has been going on for the last few months for KMML and IRA at Thottapally. CPM is of the position that the cutting of trees is necessary to avoid floods in Kuttanad. However, CPI and Congress opposed this. Last day, under the leadership of Salam, the panchayat president came and stopped the sand mining.
