Doha: The Ministry of Interior of Qatar has been taking strict measures against drug use for the past few weeks. The Metrash 2 application facilitates the public to report drug use and sale to the authorities. The ministry had shared the footage of drug cartels being chased and caught on social media.
The Metrash application provides an opportunity for the general public to participate in this initiative. All information about drug use, sale, possession and vehicles associated with it can be shared under the Drug Enforcement option in Metrash. Names and addresses of those transferring information need not be disclosed. Drug hunting is active in the country under the leadership of the Ministry of Interior of Qatar with strict control of land, air and sea borders.
