Credit Suisse Group AG announced on July 27, 2022 the appointment of Ulrich Körner as Chief Executive Officer effective August 1. He thus replaces Thomas Gottstein, successor to Tidjane Thiam. “Despite the challenges of the past two years, I am immensely proud of our accomplishments since joining management seven years ago and more recently in strengthening the bank, recruiting top management, risk reduction and the fundamental improvement of our risk culture”, said Thomas Gottstein, the outgoing CEO quoted by a press release from the group.
