Credit Suisse Securities (USA) Mutual Fund Services Settlement: SEC Charges and Penalties Explained

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said Wednesday that Credit Suisse Securities (USA) and two Credit Suisse affiliates agreed to pay more than $10 million to answer charges of providing prohibited mutual fund services .

Without admitting or denying the SEC’s findings, the Credit Suisse entities agreed to pay more than $6.7 million in disgorgement and prejudgment interest, as well as civil penalties totaling $3.3 million dollars, the SEC said. (Reporting by Kanishka Singh in Washington; Editing by Jonathan Oatis)
