Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, the official spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health, said that the number of martyrs as a result of the massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation has so far reached two thousand six hundred and seventy martyrs and nine thousand six hundred wounded.
He added during a phone call to Youm 7 TV, during coverage prepared by Hoda Abu Bakr and presented by Muhammad Abu Laila, “The bombing is still continuing in all governorates of the Gaza Strip. There is massive destruction in residential buildings and residential neighborhoods in the Gaza Strip. There are hundreds of victims trapped under the rubble. We hear that they are transmitting voices from under the rubble, which the specialized crews have not yet been able to recover for several days.”
The spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health continued, “The field reality imposes itself on the health reality, which is constantly receiving these large numbers of victims.” He said, “We are talking daily about more than 300 to 350 martyrs per day, and more than 2,200 injuries, and these large numbers are in fragile hospitals.” It was and still is under an unjust siege for 14 years, and when the Israeli occupation entered its new war on the Gaza Strip, it was fully aware that this system would not be able to confront the large numbers imposed by the aggression.
Dr. Al-Qudra confirmed that the tools that were used in hospitals in one day during this criminal and racist aggression were used in a whole month in the normal situation, and thus all of our pharmaceutical ingredients were depleted, as well as fuel, as the Israeli occupation prevented electricity and also prevented water from the sector. Gaza, completely isolating Gaza from its neighborhood and from the entire world, and all the ingredients available in hospitals have become scarce and scarce.
Consequently, these hospitals exhausted by the siege are now breathing their last on the ninth day of this aggression, and we are confirming to the entire world that the health system has already collapsed, and there is no stock of medicines, medical consumables, and fuel for the wounded of this aggression.
