With this result, Liverpool’s balance froze at 71 points in third place in the standings, giving Manchester City and Arsenal, the competitors for the top spot, a golden opportunity to get closer to the championship title.
On the other hand, Crystal Palace, with this win, regained its balance after a series of negative results over the past five rounds, during which it suffered 3 losses and two draws, raising its score to 33 points in 14th place.
The only goal of the match came in the 14th minute through Eberechi Eze, after he converted his teammate Tyreek Mitchell’s cross directly into the net amid poor defensive positioning by Liverpool players.
In the same round, Fulham achieved a valuable victory over its host West Ham with a clean double, scored by Brazilian Andreas Pereira, in the 9th and 72nd minutes, respectively.
Fulham raised its score to 42 points in twelfth place, while West Ham’s score froze at 48 points in eighth place.
