The Unitary Framework of Islam in Senegal (Cudis) observed with great regret the extent and gravity of the violence that marked the country from June 1 to 3, recalls the Cudis in a press release made public. Thus pursuing its objective ofto safeguard by all means peace and the exceptionality of living together, the Cudis has multiplied in recent weeks the meetings and discussions with our venerable general caliphs and political actors from all sides“. The Cudis says it is delighted with the lull observed and recommends that all actors continue their efforts towards the easing of tension and the appeasement of the political climate. With this in mind, he invites the government to lift the blockade around the home of opponent Ousmane Sonko and take all actions to promote sincere, inclusive and constructive discussions.
