Bruce Willis ended his career in the spring of 2022 due to health issues. He suffers from fronto-temporal degeneration, a neurodegenerative disease that causes memory problems, behavioral changes but also difficulty speaking or moving. In her video Emma Heming Willis wants to raise awareness about this disease: “There is still a lot of education to be done on the subject” she explained.
“If you’re caring for someone with dementia, you know how difficult and stressful it can be to help that person live, and even get around for a cup of coffee.” she says at the beginning of her video. She alludes to a scene that occurred a few days earlier when her husband was drinking coffee with friends in Santa Monica. Paparazzi had tried to take photos and actor videos.
In particular, she asks them to stop shouting her husband’s name or to ask him how he feels so that his “family and whoever is with him can get him from point A to point B in safety“.
