Dad of four shot in the head during London road rage argument

Good Samaritan fighting for life after Woolwich shooting

A 32-year-old lift engineer and father of four is fighting for his life with a one per cent chance of survival after being shot in the face in Woolwich, South London. He was targeted while attempting to intervene in a road rage dispute, according to reporting by The Irish Sun.

The incident occurred on a Thursday evening in Florence Street, situated near the home of the Royal Artillery. The victim, whose identity has been withheld by police to protect his family, was driving home from work when he noticed two motorists arguing.

Intervention ends in sudden violence

He pulled over in his van to break up the confrontation. As he walked back to his vehicle to drive the final stretch home, one of the motorists opened fire.

Bullets riddled the van and struck the Good Samaritan in the face.

The victim was airlifted to hospital in critical condition. Medical professionals have assessed his chances of survival at just one per cent, according to a friend who spoke with The Irish Sun.

Family left reeling as children stay unaware

A relative shared the family’s grief on social media, describing him as an innocent man caught in the wrong place at the wrong time while returning home from work. His children, all very young, have not yet been informed of the tragedy.

Police issue public appeal

Officers initially kept details of the violent attack under wraps. Authorities finally issued a public appeal for information regarding the suspect yesterday, noting that the gunman fled the scene in a dark saloon car.
