Dammam: Building rents have soared in Saudi Arabia. Economic Review report that residential building rents in the country increased by up to 20 percent in July. An increase in the prices of food items was also recorded in July.
Figures released by the General Authority for Statistics indicate that there was a large increase in residential building rents in Saudi Arabia last month. The highest increase is for apartments. An increase of 21.1 percent was recorded in a single month.
According to the report, there has been an increase of 10.3 percent in the average residential buildings during this period. A continued increase in the prices of daily necessities was also felt in July.
According to the report of the authority, there was an increase of 1.4 percent for food items, 2.9 percent for restaurant and hotel products, 1.8 percent for study materials and 1.4 percent for entertainment and sports products during this period.
