Dane Jackson released from hospital after dramatic injury on “MNF”

The Buffalo cornerback will remain undergoing tests after a violent blow to the neck and head area that forced him to leave the game in an ambulance and immobilized

BUFFALO — Cornerback for the Buffalo Bills, Dane Jacksonhas been released from the hospital following a neck injury, with the team reporting that he did not suffer any serious neck or spinal issues.

The cornerback was taken off the field by ambulance during the Bills’ 41-7 win over the Tennessee Titans Monday night. He underwent a CT scan and X-rays at the hospital, and is still undergoing further evaluation Tuesday.

Jackson was transported to Erie County Medical Center after his teammate, Tremaine Edmundsmade involuntary contact with the head and neck area of Jacksonwhile trying to assist in the tackle on rookie wide receiver Treylon Burks in the final minute of the second period.

“Definitely a tough play. I saw the receiver still standing, trying to finish the play,” he said. Edmunds. “A situation like that, obviously I didn’t do it intentionally. I would never try to do something like that to my partner, but like I said … the receiver kept standing, and I was trying to finish him on the ground, and unfortunately, I ended up hitting Dane“.

Edmunds do not touch Jackson gave a thumbs up before being carried out of the stadium.

The entire team of Bills came over from the bench to look at Jackson while eventually being placed on a stretcher and carried off the field. The game was paused for about 10 minutes, while Jackson was cared for.

El head coach Sean McDermott had a chance to talk to Jackson in the stadium tunnel at halftime before the cornerback was taken to the hospital.

Because it didn’t seem like just a regular injury. But, once I talked to him, once he told me he was fine, on the field — we have that kind of link where he’s going to let me know if anything happens– so I’m praying for him and I know he’s going to be okay.
