Elisabeth Borne has not yet decided to submit to the vote of confidence, according to Matignon

Thawing of the index point for civil servants: “We are going to fight to demand that the State compensate, to the nearest euro, the increases which will be those imposed on communities”, argues Marine Le Pen

The leader of the deputies of the National Rally (RN) is one of the group presidents who are received today by the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne, as part of the opposition consultations she has been leading since last week. She said she was waiting to find out what Mme Borne has to say to him and argued about the Head of State: “When the President of the Republic comes to say: “I leave forty-eight hours to the opposition to say how far they are ready to go”… no, but we are dreaming, he completely reverses the situation. It’s not up to us to tell him how far we’re going to go. It is up to him to tell us to what extent the majority is ready to modify his project to allow it to be voted on by the opposition. »

While Mr. Macron said on Saturday in an interview with Agence France-Presse (AFP) that he excluded the RN and La France insoumise (LFI) from any possible coalition, believing that they are not government parties, Mme Le Pen argued about the RN: “No, of course, I don’t agree with him and we will prove it to him in the years to come, that is to say that we have the objective of winning. We work every day on the ground, we are going to work in the Assembly, to win the next presidential election, because what we want is to apply our project. »

She recalled the line of her group of 89 deputies in the National Assembly of the will to compromise and to vote “ the texts which go in the right direction for the French, which improve their daily situation, which strengthen our country”. On the other hand, she made it known that her party would vote against anything it deems “poisonous or harmful” in government policy.

Asked about the increase in the index point for the civil service to the tune of 3.5% planned for this summer and announced tuesdayMarine Le Pen said that if the measure was going in the right direction, her group would vote against if it was up to the local authorities to “take charge of the increase”. « We are going to fight to demand that the State compensate, to the nearest euro, the increases which will be those imposed on the communities”, she clarified.

She also considered that Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy, “lied throughout the presidential campaign”, while selling ” bells and whistles ” about “good health of the economy. “The reality is that the past presidential and past legislative elections, he tells the French the truth that we expressed during the campaign, namely that the French economy is in a catastrophic situation”she continued, citing in particular the ” drama ” from “wall of inflation in front of us”.

Regarding the announcement by the latter, yesterday, of the extension of the rebate of 18 cents at the pump, financed by the State, until the end of December, she made it known that if the RN group voted the measure so as not to penalize the French, it was not “not the right method” and continued to advocate for the lowering of VAT on fuel prices to 5.5%, “because the 18-cent drop has already been absorbed, that is to say that fuel prices today are exactly at the same level as when he decided on it”. Mme Le Pen also said she was in favor of a tax on the “superprofits” of oil and gas producers, who had profited economically from the war.
