Detention after a violent incident at Hauketo in Oslo

One of the accused, a 50-year-old man, was arrested on Wednesday and remanded in custody on Thursday with a letter and visiting ban. The other, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on Thursday.

On Friday, he was also remanded in custody for four weeks with a letter and visiting ban. In addition, he has been placed in full isolation for two weeks and partial isolation from the co-accused for the entire period of imprisonment.

Both men, who are foreign nationals, took time to reflect. The detentions are in line with the police’s request.

The police received information regarding the incident at 00:45 on Wednesday night and rushed to the scene.

– They found a person with bodily harm there. It was unclear what had happened. The case was first coded as bodily harm, which was later changed to attempted murder, police attorney Ulrikke Simonette Basthus told The daily newspaper.

According to Oslo newspaper the first report to the police was that a person had been beaten up.

– My client denies criminal guilt for attempted murder. Beyond that, I have no comment, says lawyer Petter Bonde, who defends one of the accused.

Lawyer Lars Leversen defends the other accused. He does not wish to comment on the matter.
