The Argentine ambassador in Brazil Daniel Scioli confirmed that he will be a presidential candidate in Unity for the Homeland and that if there is an internal one, he will go to the Paso within the space. In addition, he ratified the trade unionist Hugo Moyano as his first pre-candidate for national deputy for his space Unidos Triunfaremos.
The statements were made this Thursday at the ND Theater. There he made his candidacy official, in the same place where he appeared 20 years ago in the formula with Néstor Kirchner. He affirmed that “despite the obstacles” his face will be on the ballots “on August 13 in the dark room.”
He was accompanied by the pre-candidate for governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Victoria Tolosa Paz, and the head of the Buenos Aires government, Nito Artaza.

In the front row were Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, the Minister of Security, Aníbal Fernández, the Secretary General of Truck Drivers, Hugo Moyano, and the social leader Mayra Arena. Scioli thanked everyone for their presence.
After the act and in a press conference, the official indicated that Moyano and Arena will be pre-candidates for deputies on his list. Meanwhile, who accompanies him in the vice presidency is still unknown and “will be defined before Saturday.”
“Hugo Moyano’s presence has great meaning for us tonight. They will see him on the front lines for the defense of our rights. I feel great respect and admiration for him, for his leadership, for the future challenges in the world of work”, he expressed.

The Argentine ambassador in Brazil indicated that Argentina needs “a new time” and a “transformative power.” “Some people told me that I was making a mistake and those words sound a lot to me these days. When one has the experience of life, the instinct, the intuition of knowing what Argentina needs at that moment in a new time”, he said.
In this sense, Scioli called to “build on what has been built” and find “meeting points among Argentines”, instead of “dynamiting everything as the opposition candidates say” to “return to the recipes of the past”.
“A better country is not built with anger, it is built with innovation, with efforts, putting your shoulder in each circumstance. Always my guide and my ideals are to produce more and more so that our people live better. Economic independence is going to come from the hands of a constant deleveraging, ”he assured.
For her part, the Minister of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz, highlighted Daniel Scioli’s “coherence” in facing “always adversity and obstacles.”
“20 years ago we were protagonists of convincing Argentina that there was no possibility of synthesizing a presidential formula if it was not for the popular vote. The path is La Paso, and in the face of society, debate who will be the president, ”he mentioned.
