Why are Star Plus and Disney+ merging?

In accordance with Diego Lernerpresident of The Walt Disney Company Latin America, the fusion of StarPlus y Disney+ is designed to improve the experience for its subscribers, who will be able to find their movies, series, documentaries, cartoons and favorite sporting events in the same application.

Likewise, Lerner has announced that this year 2024 is when the Star Plus content they would join Disney+.

He also explained that with this change, the contents will be concentrated in a section that will include titles from Searchlight, 20th Century Studios y FX.

When will Star Plus and Disney+ join forces?

Although StarPlus was launched in Mexico and Latin America only in August 2021, it will now play an important role in the relaunch of Disney Plus, which will be given this next June 26th.

And from that date on, users will only need a plataform to access all series, movies, documentaries and sporting events.

So the “new” Disney+ will have among its content Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, ESPN and Star.

However, this change will also be reflected in the payment of the plan or package you have contracted.

How much will the Disney+ subscription merged with Star Plus cost?

So far it is known that the version with ads – which will be the cheapest – will be available in Mexico.
