GREEN BAY, Wis. – David Montgomery scored three rushing touchdowns, and the Detroit Lions limited the Green Bay Packers to 21 yards of offense in the first half, en route to a convincing 34-20 victory Thursday at Lambeau Field.

The Lions (3-1) made five sacks at the expense of Jordan Love, in addition to making two interceptions at his expense.

Detroit’s only loss this season came in overtime against the Seattle Seahawks in the second week of activities.

Jared Goff was the victim of an interception during the Lions’ first offensive sequence, before limiting the errors thereafter.

Since his ten-game interception streak ended, Goff has thrown into the opponent’s arms in three straight games.

The Packers, for their part, fell to the .500 mark with a second failure in four outings.

Love gave Green Bay fans hope by spotting Christian Watson for the touchdown early in the third quarter.

He then ran nine yards for a major, closing the score to 27-17. The two-point convert failed, however, and Detroit delivered the knockout blow with a touchdown immediately afterward.

The Lions led 27-3 at halftime with a 284-21 advantage in yards. It was the Lions’ most productive first half against the Packers in 188 games.
