Three people are said to have been killed in an attack on a lifeboat in the Kherson floodplain.

According to Ukraine, three people have been killed in a Russian attack on a lifeboat in the flooded areas. Ten other people were injured, explains the governor of the Kherson region, Olexander Prokudin, on Telegram. The boat wanted to bring people from flooded parts of the occupation areas to the Ukrainian-controlled city of Cherson.

Among the dead is a 74-year-old man who wanted to protect a woman and was hit in the back.

Prokudin’s report did not reveal how Russian troops attacked the boat. The head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, had previously reported the incident. The reports cannot be independently verified.
