What is the release date of Dead Island 2? On what media?
After fairly certain rumours, it was during Gamescom that Dead Island 2 finally made official. Unlike many games expected in 2023 that have only a vague release window, if any, we already know that Dead Island 2 will be released on February 3, 2023.. He will be available on PC and consoles, namely, on PS4 and Xbox One, but also on the latest generation, i.e. PS5 and Xbox Series.
Which studios are behind Dead Island 2?
The first Dead Island was developed by Techland (Dying Light). Its sequel is initially announced at E3 2014and was to be the result of a collaboration between Deep Silver, the publisher of the first game, and Yager Development. In 2015, this partnership was broken without explanation and the game seems to change developers several times : it passes in particular between the hands of Volition (Saints Row) and Fishlabs (Dead Island: Survivors). It’s finally Dambuster Studios (Homefront : The Revolution) who is entrusted with the project and who even manages to finish it.
What is the story of Dead Island 2?
Dead Island 2 is the direct sequel to the first part and keep the same formula. Several months after the events that took place in Banoi, the United States declares a forced quarantine on California, which becomes a prohibited area. The state of all hopes has swapped its airs of paradise for a bloody and infernal battlefield infested with zombies for those who refused to leave their homes. On the other hand, this turn of events creates an ideal hunting ground for renegades who seek adventure, glory and a new beginning…
What is the gameplay of Dead Island 2?
Dead Island 2 is a Apocalyptic FPS RPG-tinged. This survivalist adventure takes the formula of its predecessor and improves it. Players will have the opportunity to embody six characters, each with their own characteristics. It will then be a question of exploring the many zones of this Los Angeles in a semi-open world and of defend against the infected.
For this, it is possible to find many weapons across the map, or to make them yourself. You can then get rid of the zombies in ways that are as effective as they are creative. Speaking of weapons, the fights should be tough and particularly bloody: Deep Silver promised that this new opus would be even more gory than the first. A cooperative mode will also be available and it will be possible to team up with three to face the hordes of zombies roaming the map.
Is a collector’s edition planned for Dead Island 2?
The zombies of Dead Island 2 are adorned with two collector’s editions already available for pre-order. The first one, Dead island 2 Pulp Edition, includes replicas of unusual weapons from the game, in addition to the full title. The second is called la HELL-A Edition and notably includes the game in physics, a steelbook, an expansion pass, weapon packs, and goodies such as pins, a game map or postcards. The price of these two collector’s editions is not yet known in Francebut the HELL-A costs $100 in the United States for example.
