ISLAMABAD, July 13 (Xinhua) — Nine soldiers were killed early Wednesday in an attack in Pakistan’s southwestern province of Balochistan, the army said.
The attack occurred when heavily armed militants attacked the Zhob garrison in this province, the army press service said in a statement the same day.
Five terrorists were also killed during an army counter-attack, according to the same source.
“Security forces and the nation remain resilient and determined to thwart any nefarious attempt by the enemy to disrupt the peace in Balochistan and Pakistan,” the statement added. END
