Definitive “no” to the plan to build a wind farm in Platani of the Municipality of Patreon, by the competent licensing body of the Ministry of the Environment.
THE interested company after the consecutive ones negative opinions from the Region, Municipality and Decentralized Administrationhad resorted to Central Environmental Licensing Board with her request being rejected since the opinion was negative due to the inappropriate marking of the forest road construction and the recent reforestation of the area with money from the Greek State.
The deputy governor of Achaia Fokion Zaimis who disclosed this development yesterday to Peloponnisos FM 104,1, stated that the Western Greece strongly supported it Residents’ request to prevent the licensing of a wind farm in the “Peristerobrachos” areaeast of Platanio Achaia.

After the appeal of the interested parties, against the decision of the Regional Council of Environmental Licensing, the Central Council of the Ministry of the Environment definitively rejected the request for the installation of wind turbines in Platani Patras.
