From a young age he loved the Lord wholeheartedly. But because his parents, against his will, wanted to marry him, George became a monk and devoted himself with all his strength to all kinds of exercise, namely fasting, austerity, prayer, study of the Holy Scriptures and others.

On the fourth day, George went to a wide pole.~
Many who flocked to Saint George were enlightened and returned to Christ through repentance. But since there were many who visited him, they did not leave him alone to pray, and Osios retired to Mount Malayo where he was quiet.
But there also gathered a multitude of Monks, whom the saint guided with prayer and exercise. He did not stop at virtue so much that he became well-known and admired by the rulers and even by the kings, to whom he had written many valuable advisory letters on various issues. The end of his earthly life, Osios predicted three years ago. So after he had been ill for a while, he gathered the monks of Mount Malayo and after giving them divine advice he surrendered his righteous soul to God, whom he loved so much from infancy.
