Significant losses and “dives” below 1,400 units – 2024-04-06 09:49:56

The shares on the Athens Stock Exchange registered a “plunge” of 2% on Tuesday (2.3.2024), sliding below the limit of 1,400 units and towards the levels of 1,390 units.

More specifically, the General Price Index of the Athens Stock Exchange closed at 1,393.84 points, with the shares of PPA and Ellaktor registering a “free fall”.

The total turnover amounted to 121.04 million euros, while 26,914,824 shares were traded.

Large Cap lost 1.95%, while the mid-cap index fell 3.13%.

Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of OTE (+1.02%), Terna Energy (+0.50%) and Jumbo (+0.15%) registered an increase.

On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of PPA (-7.12%), Ellaktor (-5.70%), Aegean Airlines (-4.31%), Viohalco (-4.17%), Coca Cola HBC (-3.73%) and Elvalhalcor (-3.67%).

The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 5,778,695 and 5,284,793 shares, respectively.

The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 15.42 million euros and OTE with 10.46%.

20 stocks moved up, 92 fell and 11 remained stable.

The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(p) +6.06% and Chaidemenos +5.56%.

The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Intercontinental International -29.61% and Ilyda -7.86%.
