Degas painting “Russian Dancers” renamed in London

According to The Guardian, citing the staff of the London National Gallery, due to a military special operation on the territory of Ukraine, it was decided to rename the canvas of the impressionist Edgar Degas “Russian Dancers” into “Ukrainian Dancers”.

According to an employee of the gallery, there was a lot of controversy in scientific circles about the title of this painting. However, in view of recent events, British experts decided that the time had come to adjust the name so that it better reflects the essence of the picture.
