Delta Air Lines launches two international routes, New York-Prague and Boston-Tel Aviv

Delta Air Lines yesterday relaunched its direct line between New York-JFK et Pragueon the basis ofa daily flight as part of its summer program.

The connection is ensured by Boeing 767-300 three-class (25 seats in Business, 35 in Premium and 165 in Economy). Reactivated after two years of closure due to Covid-19, the direct connection operated by Delta Air Lines is to date the only one between the Czech Republic and the United States. Also, the airport Vaclav Havel airport in Prague is currently negotiating with the American company for an extension of the link throughout the year.

Yesterday, the outbound flight DL210 and the return flight DL211 were at full capacity. “We are delighted to be back in Prague today for the first time since 2019 and the full flight shows the demand for travel to this beautiful city“said Thomas Brandt, regional sales manager for Delta, who traveled on the inaugural flight from New York-JFK. “The removal of all covid entry requirements last month had a positive impact on bookings. We look forward to a successful summer season connecting Prague to New York and beyond, while supporting our respective tourism economies.“, he added.

Delta Air Line also inaugurated a direct service this week connecting Boston to Tel Aviv, at the rate of three flights per week, on Mondays, Fridays and Wednesdays. The connection is ensured by Airbus A330-900neo. Note that the American airline already operates a direct link between New York and Tel Aviv, with seven flights per week.

Here too, in a context of high demand, the first flights are almost all full, according to Delta Air Lines. “We are delighted to have launched this new service as now 10 weekly flights between the United States and Israel are operational.“said Esty Herskowitz, commercial director of Delta Air Lines for Israel.
