Denis Zakaria confirms his departure from Chelsea
Loaned this season to the Blues, where he played little, the Geneva midfielder was not retained. He returns to Juventus before, perhaps, changing clubs.

Expected for a long time, the trend is no longer in doubt: Denis Zakaria will not stay at Chelsea. The 26-year-old Geneva midfielder wrote a farewell message on Instagram on Thursday evening: “It has been a difficult time, but you have always supported me. Let’s focus on the good memories.”
Loaned with option to buy by Juventus in the last hours of the summer transfer window, the player trained in Servette will have had a frustrating experience with the Blues. Despite three different coaches (Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Frank Lampard), he never won. The only upturn came between the end of 2022 and the start of 2023, when he had four consecutive starts in the Premier League between December 27 and January 12, before being injured.
In total, Zakaria will only have taken part in 11 meetings with Chelsea, in all competitions, for one goal.
