Nearly a hundred people have been infected. no deaths This is because the virus is easily spread by touch, such as touching an unclean surface. or put things in your mouth Therefore, young children under 5 years of age are particularly vulnerable to infection with this virus. The initial symptoms are similar to the flu, namely fever, aches and pains, and then a rash. The rash appears red. and a blister like a tomato (This disease is not related to eating tomatoes at all.) It is assumed that the epidemiological characteristics and symptoms of childhood illness are similar to that of hand, foot and mouth disease that is common in children. Not a new infectious disease
However, from the preliminary information available It can be said that the situation of tomato flu is still not a concern. There are no reported cases of cases in Thailand. And the disease is spreading in a limited range. The screening and treatment process in the country can be done in the same way as treating hand, foot and mouth disease in children.
