Studio transfer process Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal under the wing Embracer Group was completed successfully. The Swedish holding announced the successful completion of a deal with Square Enix — he now officially owns the developers Tomb Raider and Deus Exas well as the intellectual property created by them.
The Embracer Group management shared the news of the successful takeover on its official website. For both studios and all their IP holding paid the Japanese $300 million.
“All the conditions necessary for the takeover, including decisions from the antitrust authorities, have been successfully completed, and now the process of transferring the studios to our company is completed. In fact, this means that Embracer has completed the takeover [Crystal Dynamics и Eidos Montréal]”, the holding said in a statement.
Recall that for the first time the purchase of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal by the Embracer Group holding was announced in May this year. The company immediately stated that it sees commercial potential in the development of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and Legacy of Kain brands..
