Al-Marsad newspaper: Dr. Abdel Fattah Mashat, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, revealed how the cost of Hajj can be reduced.

Mashat said, during his appearance on the “In the Open” program: “This can be done in the presence of transparency, justice in choice, and real competition.”

He added, “Now we are on an electronic platform and the prices are mainly announced, and this has led to a very significant drop.”

He continued, “Among the basic strategies in the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is to empower the private sector, which is working on the ground.”

He continued: “As much as the ministry supports and empowers the private sector, the chances of its presence at the service level are good.”

He concluded: “The Hajj and Umrah system relies heavily on medium-sized enterprises, and we have found workshops and forums by encouraging innovations related to Hajj.”
