The Administrative Control Authority announced the procedures for receiving contracts, examining payments and following up on projects, which the Speaker of the House of Representatives transferred from the Audit Bureau to the Administrative Control Authority.
The authority said that the committee in charge of completing the handover and receiving process met today in Tripoli to set up a mechanism for handover and receipt procedures between the authority and the Bureau.
The authority stated that it had formed a committee for the purpose of communicating and coordinating with the committee formed by the decision of the Speaker of Parliament to complete the handover and receiving process.
The head of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, had expressed his surprise at the House of Representatives law regarding the transfer of control over contracts from the Bureau to the Administrative Control Authority.
Shakshak indicated that they will implement what the House of Representatives and the Supreme Council of State agree on the terms of reference of the Audit Bureau.
After his refusal to withdraw the competences of the Audit Bureau, Head of the Supreme Council of State Khaled Al-Mashri stated that they are preparing a constitutional appeal in the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court regarding transferring the competencies of the Audit Bureau to administrative oversight.
