Details of the first brain-dead organ transplant from Al-Qunfudhah to Riyadh • Al-Marsad Newspaper

Al-Marsad Newspaper: A specialized medical team succeeded in transferring the organs of a brain-dead patient from Al-Qunfudhah to Riyadh.

This is the first operation of its kind in Al-Qunfudhah, and the organs were transferred to a patient at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.

There are steps that preceded the operation, including coordinating with the families of the deceased, and preparing the operating room. A specialized medical team also attended through air evacuation, and field ambulance teams were prepared to follow up on transportation procedures.

It is noteworthy that Al-Qunfudhah General Hospital has performed 900 different surgeries in the Operations Department since the beginning of the year.
