Al-Marsad newspaper: The Economic Court in Alexandria issued a decision to imprison festival singers Hamo Beka and Omar Kamal for one year, with a bond of 10 thousand pounds each, to stop the execution, in addition to fining each of them on a financial guarantee of 10 thousand pounds because of the song “You are a teacher.”
The verdict included the innocence of the well-known Brazilian dancer, Lurdiana. The facts of the case stated that the accusation against both defendants was that Becca and Kamal attempted to receive a video clip that included singing and dancing to profit from it, and the court charged them with violating family values and principles.
The details of the incident date back to 2020, when a live broadcast was broadcast on social media on the official account of both Hama Beca, as well as the singer Omar Kamal. They considered it an encroachment on family values, so Omar Kamal quickly retracted the song.
