Developers promise more than 500 hours of game time

Shortly before the release of “Dying Light 2”, Techland’s developers spoke again about the scope of the successor. It is said that players who really want to see and master everything will be busy for more than 500 hours.

After another short-term postponement, “Dying Light 2” is now planned for a release in early February. Since the successor a few weeks ago achieved gold status, it will stay that way.

Shortly before the official release, Techland’s developers spoke again about the scope of “Dying Light 2” and pointed out that players who really want to see it all can spend a few weeks or even months on the adventure. A perfect score takes around 534 hours of play – or, in other words, almost the same amount of time as it would take to walk from Warsaw to Madrid.

Release in Germany only in a cut version

“Dying Light 2” will be available from February 4, 2022 for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S and PlayStation 5. As those responsible at Techland recently admitted, “Dying Light 2” is only published in a cut version in Germany, in which it is not possible, for example, to kill uninvolved NPCs or to dismember human opponents.

Cuts that lead to the fact that owners of the USK version of “Dying Light 2” stay among themselves in the cooperative multiplayer mode. According to the developers at Techland, the last word on this matter has not yet been spoken. Instead, the Polish studio of the USK would like to present further versions of “Dying Light 2” in the next few months in order to provide the German players with the originally planned vision of the game.

Time will tell how successful this endeavor will be.
