The minister’s visit comes as part of a series of periodic inspection tours in all governorates of the Republic, to follow up the completion rates of health projects, to provide the necessary support, and to overcome any obstacles that may hinder the medical system, as well as to be reassured about the level of quality of health care services provided to citizens in all governorates.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, indicated that the minister inspected the various departments of the hospital, including the internal residence rooms for women and men, and rooms for recreational treatment and hobbies. In the first and second phases, he praised the rates of development and raising efficiency.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the minister watched a short film of the development work that the facility went through, stressing the importance of the mental health system, which receives direct attention from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, as the political leadership was keen to expand and develop mental health facilities and follow the best and latest International methods of treatment, with the aim of improving mental health services, in addition to his emphasis on the role of mental health hospitals in spreading awareness of healthy mental health.
The official spokesman added that the minister, during his tour, stressed the keenness of the Ministry of Health to provide all aspects and means of support necessary to ensure the sustainability of psychological systems and their continuous development. He directed the speedy completion of development work as soon as possible, in preparation for opening and receiving patients.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar toured Port Said Governorate, on Friday morning, during which he visited several hospitals, including “Al-Salam Hospital, the marine building, and Al-Shifa Medical Complex”, which work within the comprehensive health insurance system.
