Last weekend during Gamescom 2023, the second season of Diablo 4, titled the Season of Blood, with a new vampire-themed story was announced for next october 17. New endgame content, overhaul of many game problems and overall optimism after a rather disappointing season 1, the lights are generally green for Blizzard’s game to get back on track.
However, when we think of Season of Blood and observe Diablo Immortal from the side, it is impossible not to realize that they have just released a new class on the mobile game, none other than the Blood Knight, or Blood Knight. We also know that a new class will appear one day on Diablo 4, so is it time? Our friends from 4players interviewed the developers during the event in Germany to find out more.

Unfortunately the chances of seeing the Blood Knight land in Diablo 4 seem quite weakaccording to the words of Rod Fergusson, General Manager of the license as well as Chris Wilson, associate director of the production of the game. What could Diablo 4’s next class be?
Under the pretext that there is one planned! But we can imagine that they have it in the boxes at Blizzard. The first intuitions even before the release of the game tended towards the Paladin, with even several theories linked to symbols in the game representing the order of the paladins… Hard to imagine the Warrior of Diablo 1 given the existence of the Barbarian, but what about the Bard, the Amazon, the Demon Hunter, the Monk, the Crusader, or even the Witch Doctor? All these iconic classes and archetypes from previous games of the license.
Could a whole new class make its appearance? All games in the license have introduced a new class without exception, it would therefore be normal to fantasize about a new class for an upcoming DLC, as the Necromancer was released for Diablo 3’s Reaper of Souls. Templar, Villain, Enchanter, even downright Angel or Demon, the possibilities are endless and we have can’t wait to see their plans at this level.
