Blizzard’s next game, Diablo IV, is on the doorstep and with only a few weeks left to wait, Adam Jackson, head of the class creation part for the game gave more information on the possible futures classes.
Diablo IV a game made to add new classes in DLC?
It was during a group interview that Adam Jackson went into more detail about the creation process Diablo IV classes and how Blizzard intended to please the fans, without recycler all content from other games.
Indeed, for them, it was important to create et not to reuse. It is for this reason that some classes are missing from the Diablo IV roster and some may not be available in the future either.
When creating the classes, Adam explains that what teams are looking for is character creation which leaves room for future additions.
The objective is therefore to create classes that take up elements that are dear to fans, without copying a class from the old Diablo, and that does not take on too many different traits from possible future classes.
Adam Jackson takes the example of thief a you demon Hunter, which according to him, are very close in Diablo IV and which explains the absence of one of the two.
However, although a thief can approach it, it will be impossible to reproduce the Demon Hunter of Diablo 3.
These class design choices are therefore made so that the game remains “costs” but also to allow enough bandwidth, creatively speaking, to create new classes in the future, or bring back class of the past, in quite a different format.
So it almost seems inevitable that new classes join the roster in the future, be it Paid DLCs or of mises free updateswe will have to wait a while to be fixed!
