DIAN Sastrowardoyo admits that he has many impressions on his journey to a career in the film industry. He said this, Friday (22/3), at the Celebration of 25 Years of Dian Sastrowardoyo Working in the Indonesian Cinema Industry together with Bazaar Indonesia.
“The impressions I got were many and cannot be summarized in one moment, what is certain is that this journey was quite long and quite ups and downs. I am very grateful that I was given the opportunity several times,” said Dian.
Dian added that during her career, the Kretek Girl series was the most memorable series for her. He considers Kretek Girl to be the title of a series that brings together characters from different films.
“The most impressive series for me right now is Kretek Girl, because after the pandemic it became a moment when titles from Indonesia could crossover even globally and remain in the top ten, that is something that makes me very grateful because it turns out that Indonesian works can be appreciated in other countries. other things,” added Dian.
The name Dian Sastro cannot be separated from the history of Indonesian cinema. Starting with the first film Falling Stars directed by Rudi Soedjarwo in 2000, then Pasir Berwhissi 2001, and followed by What’s Up With Love? which was produced by Miles and directed by Rudi Soedjarwo in 2002. Therefore, until now, his face is fresh and has a promising future for the Indonesian film industry.
Behind her tenacity and perseverance, in her career as an actress, Dian Sastrowardoyo also has a broader vision for Indonesian cinema, not only playing acting, but she also wants to take part in producing a film.
