Actress Maria Sternikova died in Moscow on May 20. She turned 79 four days ago.
The famous nurse Shurochka from the film “Guest from the Future”, actress Maria Sternikova, died in her apartment on Zoological Street in the capital. On May 18, the star celebrated her birthday, she turned 79 years old. After just a couple of days, she was gone.
In recent years, Maria Sternikova, unfortunately, did not feel very well. Due to her advanced age and progressive Alzheimer’s disease, she lost her memory, disappeared several times, going for a walk. Once, due to the same illness, Sternikova had to stop working – she forgot the texts of the roles. The last time Maria Alexandrovna starred in 2009 in the TV series “Docks”.
“She remembers all the old events, people, her life, texts and performances, but she can get lost in space and forget what she just did,” the artist’s son, star of domestic TV series Alexander Nosik told reporters.
In recent years, a nurse took care of the artist. The loneliness of Sternikova was also brightened up by her beloved dog. According to Nosik, the artist was provided with excellent care, but she also managed to get lost during long walks under the supervision of a nurse.
Once a woman was distracted by a dog, it was rush hour in the capital. In a few minutes, Maria Alexandrovna mingled with the crowd and went to the subway. They found her a few hours later, in the hospital, completely confused and upset.
Relatives have not yet reported the date and place of the funeral of Maria Sternikova, as well as the causes of her death.
