For years, fans have been demanding that Discord voice chat be integrated into the Xbox console for better communication with friends while playing on the console. The platform already allows players to link their Discord accounts to the system, allowing people to see tags and game activity.
According to the press release, Xbox players can now voice chat with friends on Discord directly from the console. You no longer need to leave your laptop open while playing on your TV.

Here are the steps to start using Discord voice chat on your Xbox:
If you haven’t already, link your Xbox account to Discord. From there, grant voice access to the system. Install the Xbox mobile app to send voice activity to your console. Go to the voice channel on Discord and select the option to send audio to Xbox. An app that confirms transfers on Xbox Mobile.
And you should be fine! Discord voice chat should work on Xbox.

Don’t be surprised if you don’t see the options popup yet. As of this writing, the integration is still in beta testing and will only be rolled out to users with Xbox Insider memberships. You must sign up now to use Discord voice chat on Xbox. Otherwise, the new feature will be released to all players on an unspecified date in late 2022.
This integration takes Xbox one step further on PlayStation in its relationship with Discord. The Sony brand has only recently started implementing some Discord features on the PlayStation system, allowing players to link their PlayStation accounts and display their gaming activity.
But now we know that Discord voice chat is possible on consoles thanks to Xbox. So, hopefully it will come out on PS4 and PS5 sometime in the future.
