Foodies will be able to meet at Hornu from next month. Many oriental flavors can be discovered at will in Samir Hadadi’s restaurant. Tagines, couscous and many other specialties will be offered within the “Parfum d’Orient”.
While woks and other Asian restaurants offering all-you-can-eat buffets are popping up all over the region, the concept does not yet exist in oriental cuisine restaurants. After making this observation, Samir Hadadi wanted to compensate for this shortcoming by opening his restaurant. “With my restaurateur cousin, Ghiles Hadadi, we aimed to open an oriental restaurant offering an all-you-can-eat buffet. The concept already exists in the north of France but not in Hainaut. We therefore wanted to compensate for this by offering specialties from home and abroad,” confides Samir Hadadi.
While some close, others launch their businesses
Of Algerian origin, Samir will naturally offer local specialties. However, it will not be limited to the simple Algerian borders. “When we talk about oriental cuisine, most people think directly of Morocco, Algeria or Tunisia. For our part, we did not want to limit ourselves to these three countries. We will also offer Lebanese specialties. The menu is not yet finalized but will undoubtedly offer many quite varied homemade dishes,” continues Samir Hadadi.
The final preparations are therefore being finalized for Samir Hadadi and his cousin whose restaurant “Le Parfum d’Orient” should open next month in Hornu. “The opening should take place at most by the middle of December,” concludes Samir Hadadi.
