The newspaper has developed a new interactive tool that will make the value of real estate properties sold in Quebec accessible to the general public for the first time.

For most homeowners, the home is the most important asset they own. Knowing the value on the market, by being able to compare it with the prices sold in the neighborhood, is necessarily an important tool for the sound management of your personal finances.
For the past two years, we have been compiling one by one the real estate transactions registered in Quebec land registry offices. With the real estate boom that Quebec has experienced, there have been hundreds of thousands.
The majority of residential properties sold are located there. These data are public, but they were so far difficult to consult for ordinary mortals. We have classified them to present them to you thanks to a searchable geographical map, integrated into our new mobile application.
We don’t want to compete with real estate brokers who provide even more comprehensive appraisal reports to their clients, but it does allow you to see at a glance how the real estate market is doing in your neighborhood, or anywhere else in Quebec. This map will be updated daily to allow you to see the market evolve over time.
