Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is rich in environments that support the flourishing of living organisms of all kinds, whether in its mountains, waters, or sands.

The Saudi travel and wildlife enthusiast, Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Aboudi, presents aspects of various wildlife through a page called “Makshat” on social media.

Al-Aboudi began documenting his travels in the 1980s, as he explained in an interview with CNN Arabic: “I began to delve deeper into the behavior of animals and birds, and try as much as possible to capture something of their behavior with the lens of digital video cameras.”

A Saudi travel and wildlife enthusiast documented the burial snake and the way it smoothly hides under the sand in the northeastern Qassim region in 2014. (Watch the video above)

Al-Aboudi explained: “One week before filming it, I monitored its location and the time it came out at night,” stressing: “I wanted to highlight its beauty and the strange way it sinks into the sand.”
