You can.

Lego Fortnite is set in a vast open world created with Unreal Engine 5 and begins with characters built with Lego. Lego structures can be pushed or destroyed with characters.

The game is divided into ‘sandbox’ mode and ‘survival’ mode. In sandbox mode, you can decorate and create your own world while enjoying a variety of daily life content, such as decorating buildings, cooking, and making friends, without restrictions.

Survival mode is a mode in which you survive in the wild by finding food, warming yourself with fire, avoiding rain, and fighting various enemies, and is more difficult. You can enjoy a wide range of content, such as equipping yourself and jumping into caves to collect rare resources, search for hidden areas and enemies, and invite up to 8 people to each world to play or compete together.

Epic Games plans to release several additional LEGO-themed games that can be played in Fortnite starting in early 2024.

Since its first launch in 2017, Fortnite has been expanding into the metaverse space by hosting various artists and performances in the game.

Epic Games’ goal is to build a ‘metaverse open to everyone’ through Fortnite. To this end, this year, we introduced ‘Fortnite Unreal Editor (UEFN)’, a creative tool using Unreal Engine 5, and ‘Creator Economy 2.0’, a creator profit sharing project.

In addition, Epic Games recently added various games using the Fortnite worldview, such as the arcade racing game ‘Rocket Racing’ and the rhythm game ‘Fortnite Racing’.

Epic Games emphasized that through LEGO Fortnite, everyone, including parents and children, will be able to experience the metaverse world that can be enjoyed.

Park Seong-cheol, CEO of Epic Games Korea, said, “Lego Fortnite is an inflection point that shows the change to the metaverse pursued by Epic Games and the future of Fortnite as a platform,” and added, “We will continue to present consistent content through external cooperation.”
