Major Bao Quoc Ve, Assistant Engineer (Ministry of Customs of Tra Vinh province) shared: The bomb with the symbol MK81, weighing over 150kg, with a fuse, was made by people in Nha Mat hamlet, Truong Long Hoa commune, Duyen town. Hai discovered it during the process of digging the ground for construction.
After discovering, people reported to local authorities for handling.
Receiving the news, the Ministry of Customs of Tra Vinh province sent a survey force and installed barriers and signs in dangerous areas.
Through the actual survey process, although the bomb was buried deep in the ground for a long time, it still had its fuse intact, very dangerous if there was a direct impact. By professional measures, the bomb was brought back to safety by the Engineer force at Tieu Can district shooting range (Tra Vinh province), waiting for detonation according to regulations.
