Bugatti Carbone Limited Edition: Discovery of the first connected watch in carbon fiber

The Franco-German car manufacturer has just unveiled an exceptional connected watch, using one of the brand’s most popular materials: carbon fiber.

It’s not just the aerospace or luxury automotive industry that can benefit from this extraordinary material. Now, watchmaking can also use carbon fiber to produce unique, robust watchmaking creations that are resistant to all possible tests. Created in collaboration with VIITA Watches, it is the first watch created in a limited edition in the world, but also the first watch delivered with an entirely carbon fiber case.

A much-talked-about material for many years, carbon fiber is a central element of Bugatti’s modern-era design. Light, dense and extremely resistant, it is used today for the monocoque as well as the bodywork of all Bugatti vehicles. Here we find carbon fiber and its blue reflections – an iconic color forever associated with French motor racing and the house of Bugatti – here in the Carbone Limited Edition connected watch, precision milled from a single block.

“At Bugatti, the use of advanced technologies and innovative materials is as important as the design itself, the ease of use and the reliability of the product. The Carbone Limited Edition smartwatch incorporates all this, not only through the use of carbon fiber, but also through its beauty, rarity and precision. » Wiebke Ståhl, CEO of Bugatti International.

The latest model, the Bugatti Ceramique Edition One, served as a premiere in this coveted watch among luxury smartwatches. Here, the new Bugatti Carbone Limited Edition displays a battery improved by 22% to reach 540 mAh, for a total weight of the model reduced by 13% thanks to new lighter materials. In normal use – without GPS service – the battery can last up to 15 days. In “always on” mode, you can count on an autonomy ranging from 2 to 3 days.

Just like its big sister, this new creation also features a GPS sensor – specially developed for it – which fits among more than 1000 complex components and offers a whole new level of precision. For example, on circuits the watch can automatically record lap time and acceleration data. A double sensor measures both the heart rate and its evolution and makes it possible to record detailed health data, in more than 90 different sports disciplines.

Waterproof up to 100 meters (10 ATM), its reading will be facilitated thanks to a superb AMOLED screen in sapphire crystal of 390*390 pixels with 16.7 million colours. Future owners will be able to choose between a gray silicone/nylon strap and a black silicone strap, both of which come with the watch.

Produced in only 2,500 copies, the watch will be marketed at a price of €2,590.
