Disney+ is gearing up for the release of Percy Jackson & the Olympians Season 3, offering fans an early look at the young demigod’s next trial. The streaming service shared a trailer Monday featuring Walker Scobell and Leah Sava Jeffries, setting the stage for a perilous new chapter in the young adult fantasy series based on the Rick Riordan novels.
The television adaptation follows the title character, Percy Jackson, played by Scobell, who is the young demigod son of Poseidon, portrayed by Toby Stephens. In the upcoming episodes, the narrative thrusts Percy into a high-stakes rescue mission after his friend and love interest Annabeth Chase, played by Jeffries, is captured by the forces of Kronos, portrayed by Nick Boraine.
With his best friend Grover at his side, played by Aryan Simhadri, Percy faces daunting obstacles on his journey. According to an official synopsis, the young hero must "free a goddess in chains, confront the Titan’s curse, and avoid triggering the fall of Olympus" while racing to save Annabeth.
