Legally a clear thing
There has been a war between the owners since Christmas – and many things are reminiscent of the Sika case. The management and the board of directors have removed the main owner from power. But they won’t be able to hold out for long.
The fight for FC Luzern (FCL) is about two men. On the one hand Bernhard Alpstaeg, who holds 52 percent of the shares, on the other hand Joseph Bieri, who owns 48 percent of the shares and the sympathy of the fans. It was three days before Christmas when there was a big bang at FC Luzern. Shortly before the Annual General Meeting on December 21, 2022, Alpstaeg was informed that the Board of Directors was withdrawing 25 percent of his shares. He had acquired them unlawfully and was therefore not entitled to vote with these shares.
