Today, Monday, in the prefecture of Tangiers-Assilah, the operation “Ramadan 1444 AH” was launched, which is supervised by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity, where 7,860 shares will be distributed to the beneficiaries of the various territorial groups in the prefecture.
The operation of Ramadan 1444 in the prefecture of Tangiers, which was launched at the Education and Training Center for Women in the Awama Al-Sharqiya neighborhood, recorded an increase in the proportion of quotas allocated by 20 percent compared to Ramadan 1443, which is equivalent to an additional 1310 rations.
3,400 shares, equivalent to 43.3 percent of the total shares allocated to the Tangier-Assilah labor force, are distributed among the beneficiary households in the urban area of the Tangiers community (2,300 shares), the Asilah community (700 shares) and the Akznaya community (400 beneficiaries), while the rest is allocated (4460 beneficiaries). Share) for families in rural areas, distributed among all territorial groups by employment.
During this process, the ration provided to the beneficiaries was enriched with 5 kg of rice, 6 liters of milk, and 3 tea boxes of 200 grams, in addition to the basic materials of 10 kg of flour, 5 liters of oil, 4 kg of sugar, and 1 kg of sugar. of lentils, 1 kg of noodles, and a tea packet of 250 grams.
The regional coordinator of national cooperation in Tangier-Tetouan-Al-Hoceima, Mohamed Lavigali, confirmed that the Ramadan process organized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity on an annual basis benefits people in a situation of need, especially widows, divorcees and people with disabilities, highlighting that more than 94,000 shares have been allocated to one side. Mr. Levigali stated that the process is taking place in good conditions thanks to the supervision of the regional committee, which includes representatives of the regional and local authorities, representatives of the Ministries of Health and Social Protection, Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the contribution of the social interests of the Royal Armed Forces and the National Recovery and National Cooperation.
It is noteworthy that this process is carried out in partnership between the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity with the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and its implementation is subject to monitoring, especially at the level of two committees, one local and the other regional, that monitor the supply of distribution centers, identify beneficiaries, and distribute foodstuffs.
The “Ramadan 1444” operation is an exceptional process, as it is known, in implementation of the royal instructions, that the number of beneficiaries of food support has increased from 600,000 families in the previous version to 1 million families in the “Ramadan 1444” operation, distributed over 83 provinces and prefectures in the Kingdom.
In fact, it concerns 1 million Moroccan families from various regions of the Kingdom (ie nearly 5 million people), 77 percent of whom live in rural areas. They will benefit this year from food support and from this strong social bond that is reinforced on this occasion.
