EAfter Kelu Nayanar in Rumi, Prithviraj is back to be a historical figure. Prithviraj is going to play the role of Venad’s historical hero Kunchirakotte ‘Kaaliyan’ (Kaaliyan). Kalyan was announced four years ago but for a number of reasons the follow-up activities were protracted. Now the new update of the film is getting attention. Aniyara has released a casting call to act with Prithviraj in the film.
Do historical characters have appearances? Then you can join Kalyan. Activists wrote on the poster that it could be part of history. The audition will be on May 19 for those from Thiruvananthapuram to Ernakulam and on May 20 for those from Thrissur to Kasaragod. The audition will be held at the YMCA Hall, Kochi.
Earlier, Kalyan’s motion poster received a lot of attention. Directed by newcomer S Mahesh, the film is scripted by BT Anil Kumar. Kalyan is the first Malayalam film to have Shankar Ehsaan Laloy team composing music. The camera is by Sujith Vasudev.
Meanwhile, Jana Ganamana is Prithviraj’s latest release. Prithviraj’s Arvind Swaminathan’s film has received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike.
