Al-Marsad newspaper: Symptoms such as changes in the color of the nails, and a “dark line” or “line” under the nail indicate a fatal disease, which is cancer.
Changes in the appearance of nails can be caused by a variety of factors, such as fungal infections or nail trauma, but they can also be a sign of underlying cancer.
Skin cancer sometimes appears as a darkened or discolored mole on the skin, but it can also appear as a dark streak or streak under the nail. This is known as subungual melanoma.
According to Cancer Research UK, other signs of skin cancer to look for are:
1- An ulcer that does not heal: it can appear shiny, pink or pearly white, it can also appear red, and it may be painful, rough and with raised edges.
2- An ulcer may be an area of skin that breaks down and does not heal within four weeks.
3- A lump: It may be small, slow growing, shiny pink or red.
4- Red spots on your skin: they can be stiff, although they may be caused by other non-cancerous conditions, but they are worth examining, according to the newspaper “Express”.
5- Freckles or Moles – Any change in a mole or freckle can be a sign of a type of skin cancer called melanoma.
